Eight members of the SGEB went to Morocco after the earthquake that struck the Al Haouz region on September 8, 2023.
Our team first participated in a seminar and technical exchanges hosted by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, which was organized by the Rebuild Programme. In the following days, the heavily impacted regions close to the mountains as well as the surroundings of Marrakech, where the earthquake was also strongly felt, were visited.

Just a heads up by Savvas Saloustros: In the visited areas most of the buildings were in stone masonry or in confined brick masonry. However, we visited some cases of earthen structures.
